The Dala Horse has become recognized as a national symbol of Sweden so to celebrate our Swedish heritage, on the fortieth anniversary of our mother brand Absolut Vodka, launched in 1979, we have made our very special copper Dala Horse. Absolut Elyx is a copper crafted vodka distilled in a vintage still from 1921 and like the Dala Horse our vodka is made using authentic Swedish handcrafted tradition. We hope you enjoy serving your favorite cocktails in our copper Dala Horse drinking cup as much as we do.
Presented in a beautiful ready-to-gift presentation box, our Copper Dala Horse ensure you won’t find a more Swedish drinking vessel anywhere.

During the Sixteenth Century it became common for poor family in the Dalarna region of Sweden to handcraft horse silhouettes from wood and paint flower patterns on them and trade them for goods. Horses were placed in very high regard and central to the whole community, they not only helped the farmers all year round but provided transport and pleasure for all the family. Horses were a faithful friend and the most essential animal in every household.
